MILK CALENDAR HEARTY SWEET POTATO AU GRATIN

I was so excited when I was asked to take part in the #MilkCalendar campaign this year. My fridge is ALWAYS stocked with several varieties of cheese. I use it in delicious recipes for any meal of the day. When I want a snack, crackers and cheese are my “go to” options most days of the week.

Milk and cheese are great and healthy, nutritious food choices. When you choose products with the Dairy Farmers of Canada logo, you can be assured you and your family are consuming healthy, high quality, nutritious products made with 100% Canadian milk.

Let’s get to the recipe, ‘cause it’s SOOOOO good. Like over the top delicious. I was thrilled when I was asked to recreate the January recipe Hearty Sweet Potato Au Gratin because I am a potato lover! There are never too many potato recipes in my books. Combine potatoes with milk and cheese, and you have a winning recipe every time.

Notes
Have fun with this delicious recipe. You can use a combination of sweet potatoes and Yukon Gold. Also...try a different flavour of cheese.

*NOTE** To make cutting the potatoes easier, you can use a mandolin OR thinly cut a slice off the potato lengthwise, so that it will lay flat. Slice crosswise.
